Moments of Reflection

Have you ever felt the need to slow down, step back and reflect? Life can get really busy and overwhelming in the absence of constant reminders to smell the roses along the way and reflect on our journey. Such moments of reflection bring clarity of mind, transition, transformation and healing.

Overwhelmed by the day-to-day journey, I felt trapped in my aching body and found recite in meditation. It helped make me calm and peaceful. Inspired by my intuitions, I then picked up a blank canvas and started playing with colours and textures creating mindful moments through the medium of art. This painting of the Buddha reflects my moments of reflection; healing the feeling of hurt that I was experiencing, illuminating my soul with the divine sparkle of forgiveness, banishing self-doubt, validating my reality and giving me the strength to speak my truth.

The subtle use of gold and sparkle, rhinestones and sequences that adorn this painting are like the glittering experiences of our lives that make it worth living.
