Mindfulness Based Intuitive Indian Visual Art Workshops

As an Intuitive Visual Artist with Indian ethnicity, Pooja strives to contribute to, promote and celebrate Indian Visual Arts in Canada. She strives to enhance inter-cultural activities in Ottawa in a unique way by offering Mindfulness Based Intuitive Indian Visual Art Workshops.

These workshops take place throughout the year at various occasions to further the interest of one and all in soulful Indian Visual Arts. Soulful intuitive art is a way of life that helps de-stress, connects one with their higher selves and brings self-awareness. It needs to be inculcated in one’s day-to-day lives and hence frequency as well as consistency of such workshops helps reap the therapeutic benefits of such visual arts. 

Pooja’s vision is to bring these workshops to not only Canadian of Indian ethnic background but also make them available to people of other cultural backgrounds. The objectives of these workshops is to:

  • Calm the self-critic by providing non-judgmental environment
  • Identify and eliminate creative blocks
  • Inculcate, support and foster mindful art practice using symbols and mantras from rich Indian cultural heritage
  • Bring the concept of ‘Mediation Through Art’ to the doorsteps of those who will shape the future of Ottawa, a multicultural city where art forms deep connections between people encouraging unity in diversity.
